What: Penn State Harrisburg has invited us to have some dogs at their Pups & Play event for their college students. This event will be held outside under a tent. Attendance is expected to be up to 100 students.

COVID-19 Precautions: Site – Hand sanitizer will be easily accessible and all of students will be asked to sanitize hands before and after petting the dogs. Everyone will be wearing masks as well. KPETS Guidelines – – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state and local COVID-19 guidelines during each visit. When the weather is warmer we prefer outside visits but when it’s too cold/inclement weather for that, we recommend: One room designated as a visit area for attendees to come in one at a time to pet the animal. A professional staff person (teacher, therapist, etc.) must be present during the entire visit.  Everyone must wear face coverings and use hand sanitizer before and after petting the animals. Social distancing must be followed with 6ft between our handler and participants. If participants or our volunteers are uncomfortable at any time or believe the precautions are not being followed they will end the visit immediately for the safety of all. No one should participate if they are feeling at all unwell. Visits may be cancelled at the last minute due to the fluid status of state and local COVID precautions. To protect the pets from becoming overwhelmed and tired, visits are limited to not more than 1 to 1.5 hours per team.
