When: Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 11am to 3pm. (weekend)

What:” Held in partnership with Lancaster City and the Lancaster Bikes program, Open Streets, presented by Lancaster Rec, is a free family-friendly event that temporarily transforms Water Street into a pedestrian mall, with music, food, shopping and activities promoting physical wellbeing, civic pride and personal and community connections.” “It’s a FREE event! Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your dog!” They would like some KPETS teams to drop by for pets and smiles. This could also be some good publicity for us to recruit volunteers as we talk to people who stop by to pet our animals. We will know our spot closer to the time of the event. We are in “section 4” so look for, ask for section 4 and/or call Laura when you get there for directions at 319-925-0841. 

Where: Lancaster City, Water St. (from Lemon St. to Conestoga St./Culliton Park). Paid parking in city garages. Meters are free on Sunday.

COVID Precautions: Site: This is an outdoor event so masks are optional. KPETS General – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state, local and the visit site’s COVID-19 guidelines during each visit.
