When: Monday, August 2, 2021, 8:15am-12:30am

What: The high school would like to arrange a KPETS visit at the Performance Art Center (PAC) to greet approx. 300 students who will be attending 9th grade orientation. The first session (for 4 teams) from 8:15 to 9:30 will be greeting all students at the entrance and on each floor.  From 9:30 to 12:30, our teams (2 teams) will stay in one classroom (#12) while about 30 students rotate in and out of it about every 15 minutes.

Where: Hempfield High School Performance Art Center, 1555 Kauffman Rd, Landisville, PA 17538. Volunteers need to enter through the Buchanan Office of the high school at 1555 Kauffman Rd, Landisville, PA 17538. Volunteers will be met there by Kristin Douglas who will escort them to their locations

COVID Precautions: SITE – Follow state guidelines. KPETS General – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state, local and the visit site’s COVID-19 guidelines during each visit. A staff person must be present during the entire visit.  Everyone should wash their hands/use hand sanitizer before and after petting the animals. Social distancing must be followed by our handler and participants. If participants or our volunteers are uncomfortable at any time or believe the precautions are not being followed they will end the visit immediately for the safety of all. No one should participate if they are feeling at all unwell. Visits may be cancelled at the last minute due to the fluid status of state and local COVID precautions.
