When: Tuesday, November 9th from 11am to 12:30pm and Wednesday, November 10 from 1pm to 2:30pm.

What: Akron Elementary School is looking for dog teams to visit students in grades K-4 to support continued mental health and resilience efforts. It is preferred that prior to visiting, you provide the school proof of three clearances; Child Abuse, PA Criminal, and FBI if not a PA resident for 10 consecutive years. Email or bring everything to the school counselor prior to or at the visit. Please send any questions about the requirements to the school counselor.

COVID Precautions: SITE – Volunteers will be required to wear a mask while indoors and also need to complete a brief COVID screening upon entering the building. KPETS General – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state, local and the visit site’s COVID-19 guidelines during each visit.
