When: Monday, July 12th & Wednesday, July 14th, at 9:00am

What: The Lower Dauphin School District’s Summer Reading Academy is inviting us to join them for the 7th Reading to the Dog program. Students entering 1st through 3rd grades will have the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills by reading to your dog in 10-15 minute sessions. Approx. attendance: 92 students.

Where: Nye Elementary School, 200 S. John Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036

COVID Precautions: COVID Precautions: SITE – Follow current guidelines. KPETS General – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state, local and the visit site’s COVID-19 guidelines during each visit. A staff person must be present during the entire visit.  Everyone should wash their hands/use hand sanitizer before and after petting the animals. Social distancing must be followed by our handler and participants. If participants or our volunteers are uncomfortable at any time or believe the precautions are not being followed they will end the visit immediately for the safety of all. No one should participate if they are feeling at all unwell. Visits may be cancelled at the last minute due to the fluid status of state and local COVID precautions.
