*Dog with a purpose*

Today I choose to remember the incredible friend and companion you were to all that were blessed to cross your path. You entertained us from day one with your athletic ability and silly antics. You learned to play tug with your big sister Safron and now you’ve passed along the game to our sweet little Sparkle. My helper in puppy mentoring you aided the potty training, entertaining, smart training and cuddling.

Comforting the elderly and loving them came naturally to you as you were registered as a KPETS Therapy dog. All of your short 10 1/2 years you served with your whole heart in this job you enthusiastically embraced. Many hearts were warmed by your gentle kisses and soft eyes. You never disappointed when I asked you to perform tricks and put on shows, sit beside wheel chairs, do bedside visits—always ready to please.

Children always made you smile and your tail wag ! You anxiously awaited the grandchildren’s arrival on Mondays and Wednesdays so you could play nanny dog to them all day long. Every child was immediately your friend and a part of your heart.

Some of your favorite things were alfalfa fields to romp through, the beach to run on, chasing a rabbit from your yard, hanging from your rope in a tree, playing frisbee and of course snuggling up with us on the couch.

I am keeping you in my heart forever ❤️🐾Solomon🐾❤️, because if I didn’t the hole would be to large to fill. We danced, walked and ran through life together. You have been my amazing partner and faithful companion. You fulfilled your great purpose in life. Now go and run through alfalfa fields, chase bunnies and be free.
