When: Visits starting in August – the first Tuesday of each month at 10am.

What: Providence Place in Chambersburg would like some dog, cat, or mini equine teams to provide smiles to residents. KPETS Volunteers should bring their pet’s vaccination records to the first visit. Approx. attendance: 31

Where: 2085 Wayne Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202

COVID Precautions: SITE – Must wear masks.  KPETS General – Visiting volunteers must have a signed KPETS volunteer agreement COVID-19 addendum on file with KPETS and follow current CDC, state, local and the visit site’s COVID-19 guidelines during each visit. When the weather is warmer we prefer outside visits but when it’s too cold/inclement weather for that, we recommend one room designated as a visit area for attendees to come in one at a time to pet the animal. A staff person must be present during the entire visit.  Everyone should wash their hands/use hand sanitizer before and after petting the animals. Social distancing must be followed by our handler and participants. If participants or our volunteers are uncomfortable at any time or believe the precautions are not being followed they will end the visit immediately for the safety of all. No one should participate if they are feeling at all unwell. Visits may be cancelled at the last minute due to the fluid status of state and local COVID precautions.
